Wins & Losses
Turns out running a vending machine business can be hard — these are our biggest challenges and victories from last week.
Wins —
We experience a 3X week-over-week revenue increase for two of our least performing machines (both of them are university administration building locations) after modifying and re-stocking the line-up.
Losses —
We are currently headed into week number three of having one machine completely out-of-operation as the result of an electrical outage in one of our break room locations.
A combination of connectivity issues at the card reader level in one of our drink-only machines is causing a number of product selections not to work — it’s also preventing communication to our transaction tracking application. We’re currently in the process of troubleshooting this with our card reader operator.

Are y’all able to share any info regarding how you got started in the vending machine landscape? Specifically where/how the machines were acquired (used, financed, bought new, leased existing, etc? And potentially some of the groundwork done to secure the locations for the machines? I think some of that info/ advice could be very useful to folks following along and interested. Thanks!
Thanks Austin!
